
| At some point in time during WW II the submarines and other methods were sinking all kinds of ships. I would think a fuel ship would blow up nicely.
For essentially the entire first half of the war, tankers weren't blowing up very nicely until the Mark 14 torpedo debacle was rectified. And, the faults of that weapon were also present in the Mark 13 and 15 torpedoes used on aircraft, destroyers, and PT boats.
