Malta, Illinois | I don't doubt any of that for a minute. Chevy builds good vehicles. I have never had anything but Chevy and GMC trucks. We had several GM car that were good too. Especially those with the 3800 engine. When we bought the first Toyota car I was impressed with the Impala but more impressed by the Camry. What has really sold me over the years is the lack of repairs needed on our Toyota vehicles. People complain about the warranty Toyota offers compared to some others. Guess what? I have had few if any repairs on our Toyota vehicles even with high mileage. I have never had a vehicle back for a warranty claim. In recent years I have heard people say that they are not as impressed with the new Rav4's as they were with the older ones. We have never had a Rav4 but did look at a couple before buying our last Highlander. It was a nice enough vehicle but felt very small compared to our Highlanders and we are spoiled so we stayed with a Highlander. I am wondering if GM has caught up to Toyota a big when it comes to quality? If someone only puts on about 10,000 miles a year I think a Chevy would probably do quite well. I think where Toyotas and Hondas really shine is when it comes to longevity and running 200,000 miles and more with minimal repairs. | |
