So many sites offer the option to not place cookies on your computer to follow you and pester you. They lie. I use cookie remover and invariably after affirming that I don't want their marketing cookies etc. I run cookie remover and voila, a multitude of cookies have been removed from the site that said they weren't going to put cookies you didn't want on you computer.
The EU requires them to ask, not require it to work.
Ublock origin has a way of blocking it all, as does brave and Firefox.
