NE KS | I had a cow that had her 15th calf today....I know how long its been because I was married to my first wife at the time and this cow (heifer at the time) got me down in the pin and wasn't gonna let me back up. We were both alot younger back then. Once I got her caught I gave her a beating she wouldn't ever forget much like she did me. I wanted to sell her but dad said no keep her she'll be a good mother and that she has been. Always raises a good calf, never has to be messed with. It used to be a struggle to tag her calf but now if I grab it from the seat of the ranger she is fine, if I step out of the ranger to grab the calf she thinks she's young again. Dad was right....wish I had 100 just like her. | |
