Milford, IL | We are hooked onto fiber @ 1,000 mpbs. Very, very few sources can we download from at even close to that speed - Steam is the only server that gets close, I have seen 850mbps down, but usually in the 250-350 range.
Others are routinely in the 50-250mbps range. If our ISP ever raises rates on 1k mpbs we will switch to a slower speed plan.
For reference, streaming 1080P video will consume about 4 or 5 mpbs. The "Ultra 100 mbps" plan will support 20 TVs in a house simultaneously streaming 1080p video without buffering.
