The people of Sioux Falls have wanted that plant out of down town for decades. Why does it not surprise me that they didn't think it would cost them a pretty penny to get rid of it? Reading the stupidity of Facebook comments is both funny and down right frightening at the same time.
I figure between Sanford's money, TIF money and selling the old plant real estate, Smithfield will end up with 50% of a new, very automated (less labor) plant paid for.
