Not all of us are breeding for 1600 lb cows and truthfully we are in much better shape moisture wise in both Dakotas than a year ago. Those that figure out how to select for acceptable performance without blowing up mature weights have always been and will continue to have success in the cow calf business. It is true that not all cattle are created equal.
