Subject: New(relocated) pork plant in Sioux Falls

Central Iowa
On Monday, Smithfield announced the relocation and new build of their Sioux Falls pork plant. It's been a dream of Sioux Falls to get the 100 year old plant out of downtown and allow for development of river front property. Interesting to see how it went down.

Also, quite ironic that a Chinese owned company had no problem getting the new plant put in and just a little over 3 years ago the entire city and Jeff Broin were trying to stop a farmer owned facility from being built. Quite the political case study if you ask my opinion.
