Milford, IL | Its super fun, domestic automakers are the best about putting the pump in the tank and not engineering an access panel to service the pump.
We had a foreign luxury sedan for a few years. Some things were frustratingly complex but servicing the fuel pump was not - flip tabs, pull rear seat, pull plastic plug - boom. Pump access right from the top. No draining fuel, no driveshaft removal, no dropping tank. GM and Ford could do this too.
Now, dropping the steering rack and raising the engine to replace the A/C compressor was a neat plot twist... | |
