| The storm is heading your way. Hit us around midnight rain and wind. Took a power pole three miles down the road and burned pole down. I called for outage, lineman is couple hours away. He fed power to us on a old feeder line to ranch. He knew my wife would be happy for power at 4 a.m. then snow came.
County protocol is to send plow in front of bus, nobody had told him of down lines. He tried to get out of their way and got soft shoulder. So they called for loader to get him up on dry ground. Im damn glad of the crews that keep everything running. From road & bridge and power.
Here's pics from yesterday. Got last of cows trucked to desert to get ready to calve. However found these gals had trailed 5 miles out of area we had them grazing. So pushed them with bike, as we will gather them come weekend and move them to calving area.
Son was hauling cows to desert, and unloaded at our corrals off county road. We have a solar pump there. Well two gals came walking up to corral and asked him if there was a way to jump start their car off solar panel. They had pushed car to panel off county road. It was quite a push to get car there. Let's just say they were the crowed that check pronouns on their names. He unhooked bull wagon and drove down there and started their car to get them out of there.
Thought I add picks of thin desert cows living on rocks and scenery. Rocks are soo good we pile them like you pile hay.
