I know its a bit of a long shot but I thought I would at least try. My grampa bought a John Deere 4000 brand new and I am not sure what date exactly but I think it was 69 or 70. My dad then inherited it from him when he took over the family farm. His name was David Pals and we had a hog farm in Teutopolis, IL. My dad ended up trading this tractor to Buening Implement in 1993 for a smaller tractor and cash to keep the farm going. We ended up having to sell the farm in 1994. The last place I can track this tractor to is that it was sold to Sigel Equipment in Sigel IL sometime in late 93 or early 94. I unfortunately do not have the serial number of this tractor and just the info I can give. This tractor was sort of different from other 4000s since it had a added MW Turbo and also a MW Oil Pan. If anyone has any info or suggestions on ways I could locate this tractor I would be so grateful.
