 Pittsburg, Kansas | Just looking up carb content of different foods we were eating. Tried to keep carb levels under 20 grams total daily. Quickly learned what food was high carb and needed to totally avoid. Mostly starchy vegetables and sugar. What vegetables we needed to watch portion size, and we could eat all the meat we wanted.
Also cut out vegetable oils pretty quickly after starting. High in calories but zero nutrition. Only energy so empty calories.
That is all it took. Mostly about what we no longer ate. Never counted a calorie. Always ate all we wanted. Just cut out the high carb foods and empty calories.
