| GrainTrader, I finished my `25 taxes and not figuring off farm income and sugar money, I broke even. mind you I have no debt, no rent payments, I should be rolling in dough. I thought back a few years (in good times) my banker was always smiling and nice, I needed a "new pickup" and went to the banker he was still nice of course but asked me a pretty direct question that will always stick with me "Dave, how do you plan on paying me back?" . I didn`t expect the question, but it was fair and off the cuff I came up with a satisfactory answer. the question had an impact on me, because I look at particularly 2025 taxes, because if I now had to answer "how you gonna pay me back?" I don`t know if I could honestly answer given my latest schedule F on the 2025 return. | |
