Iowa | Probably right. Nw ia/sw mn has a lot of diversified farms with paid for land. Those guys are in the black. Guys buying ground or renting a high percentage of their acres - which is more common to the east with equipment payments to farm those acres are the ones hurting. Last few years in that area have been really variable too - there’s pockets that had terrible yields from 2 years of super dry, then followed by the floods of 24 - other areas 20 miles north or south turned in record crops. | |
