As for the price of bulls I can’t or won’t say what a bull is worth but if you have your cows and land payed for $20,000 bulls won’t hurt you but if you are paying interest on cows, land and equipment then you should rethink your logic. I hadn’t planned on ai on cows this season but with a proven maternal bull in the tank already and available at cost of collection I think I will be using him pretty hard and the daughters of his already in the herd I will buy semen for them. | |
