I had a cow stick her head sideways between the ground and a pipe fence trying to get at some hay and got stuck there. I was afraid she was going to break her neck in her thrashing trying to escape. I was thinking I was going to have to hurry after the cutting torch to cut the pipe when it occurred to me to get my shovel and dig a hole beneath her head which gave her the freedom to get loose.
