I rented some grass from an old woman years ago. She called one day to say she kept hearing a cow bellowing. Started searching and found a big steer calf with his head stick in a hollow tree with an inverted V at the base. All he had to do was lower his head but instead he just pulled back harder. Pretty raw behind his ears he had been at it for awhile. I tried pushing his head down but just pulled back harder. Finally got a rope on his back legs and jerked him down with the front bumper of the pickup. Now I had a calf with it's back legs tied up, tied to the pickup. Finally got the rope off somehow.
