Middlesex County, Ontario | 1. Do you know why you are using AVG? For most users Windows Defender is more than enough, and AVG only hogs resources and complicates life. I would suggest re-evaluating the decision to use AVG and removing it. Hopefully you are at least using the free version and not paying money for it.
2. Have you installed Brother iPrint&Scan? If not, install it, it is probably the cleanest and least intrusive and most functional software that any Printer manufacturer has ever made.
Put your paper in the scanner, go to the computer, open iPrint&Scan, set your settings how you like and press scan, save to pdf or attach straight to email or whatever you like.
