| Too many cattleman have row crop operations and need the cattle to be solvent. When we see some uptick in crop prices I’d bet the following year there’s a lot of herd building.
Based on the hay market here guys are stocked very slim still. Everyone still remembers loading up in 14 and 15 and getting their head cut off. This one has lasted so long though the bears got took hard. I have 2 calves out of some heifers I was told I was nuts to keep. May have a 3rd on the ground with some. It’s either the new normal or gonna be a sad day when it crashes. | |
