Morgan Co. Illinois | I spied her across the track at a county fair tractor pull. She started working at the bank here and a lot of times the other tellers would hide when I pulled up so I had to go to her window She was 6 years younger than me but in June of 1980 after she graduated high school somehow, and I still don't know how, I worked up the courage to ask her for a date. I never really asked her to marry me. We just sat on the tailgate of my pickup in the driveway where we live yet today and decided together. Banks in Illinois close for Lincoln's birthday so February 12, 1981 I took her to Tobin's Jewelers in Springfield to pick out her ring and went back on Saturday Valentines Day to pick it up. Got married in August of '81 and she hasn't knocked me in the head yet. If the pic comes through you'll see why I'm a Luckyman.
