Subject: RE: NAD83 and shifting guidance lines and boundaries

New Zealand
It would, in most cases. And that is also what I used, the base coordinates were my calibration points.
The base coordinate is transmitted in the corrections, and that is essentially what is needed. The rover (your tractor) uses this coordinate to calculate its position relative to the base.
Edit: it should be possible to read the base coordinate on your display, Likely somewhere in RTK diagnostics. An FMX has it in agremote. GFX precision IQ has it in diagnostics (somewhere)

So, assuming that the old coordinate in the base was "good" and that the new one is just a straight conversion to new datum from the old one , then the process is relatively simple: extract the NAD83 coordinate from the correction source, transform that using their converter, and shift all the guidance lines accordingly.

Or, if it is possible to have access to a NTRIP mount point using old datum, and a NTRIP mount point with new datum, then the calibration points can be extracted from the correction streams, rather thatn using a coordinate conversion tool.
From previous posts it sounds like some providers may have them both active at the same time.

I personally like a local calibration point, such as two guidance lines that match the corner of a concrete pad in your farmyard. Then you can go there, engage on the line and measure from center of tractor to the edge of the concrete, then calculate the error from that. Make the adjustment to the data, and verify by engaging on the adjusted line. if it matches the concrete edge in both directions, you are good.
If you have a handheld receiver, or are able to put the antenna on one single point such as a fence post, that is even better.
