SW MN | We are currently deciding on some upgrades for our farm on the precision side of things. We currently run 2630's for everyingthing. Rcently added a couple new pieces that have gen 4 screens built in. Our 8r tractor we use for planting has everything we need but section control activation. Combine has every activation we need. Sprayer tractor has no built in screen so need a removable screen on hand.
What we are considering is adding the section control to planter tractor and purchasing a extending display to use there and the combine. Or, we are considering a g5 plus display. We could move it to all equipment as needed. Costs a more but we could then try to sell a 2630 to offset costs a bit. Seem like it would be an advantage to invest in the newest tech vs older tech.
Just wondering if anyone has any insight into this situation and if the g5 stuff is worth it over g4.
