If you get cornstalk bales from a guy that has it in the dirt.
that dirt gets in the bales, then the calves will get it from the
dirt in the bales.
Licking spreads it around the herd
Older cattle are not as susceptible as young calves
warm weather, rain and sunshine will usually get rid of it.
If you want to treat it, scrape off the crust and 2% iodine or
athletes foot spray. You will want to clean up the crust as they will spread it.
If they are confined to a pen spray it down with bleach solution. | |
