Interstate 35 North ia | On wheat harvest , she worked at an elevator in Texas , I was immediately smitten but figured she was out of my league. One hot day she came out of the office to grab a sample of wheat from my truck and had a ice cold bottle of 7-up and asked if I wanted a drink , I took a good long swig and then she did and didn’t even wipe the bottle , that’s when the lightbulb went off in my head and I thought I have a chance here . Been married for 38 years , she commented years later when we talked about that day that she had never shared a bottle of pop like that with anyone , not even family. | |
