As you move north our birth weights will be a little bigger but I despise a mature cow having a 70 lb bull calf. There is a happy medium and using calving ease bulls on cows is a waste. Jim doesn’t feedlot finish so he doesn’t really understand what the op really needs. Using Hereford bulls in Simmental cross cows would lead to color sorts that would negate anything heterosis might gain.
