E.Central MN | I think the idea of constant improvement in businesses is a worthwhile goal although what works for one company might not work for a different company. Unlike the Japanese, most US "capitalists" try to wring out as much profit for themselves as they possible can from everyone involved in the manufacturing/distributing chain, the other stakeholders are more like adversaries. With companies like Walmart in mind, I'm skeptical of how successful AI will be for the US economy. No doubt there are a lot of under-performing desk holders that should be able to be replaced, but if the goals remain the same then long term I don't see that big of an improvement just fewer management level jobs. Maybe a future glut in office tower space will solve the housing problem...
