For what its worth I decided a good healthy stand of grass was better than a poor stand with clover and weeds. Especially rag weed. Rag weed will shade out and starve a fall grass crop around here. 3 years ago during silage harvest I hired mfa to apply durra core to biggest part of one pasture farm. Ragweed cleared up and grass took off. Next year same farm no ragweed, no chicory, very few iron weeds and thistle. Last fall $ was pretty tight, I just sprayed a pint of 24d on pasture I was saving for fall stock pile. It cleaned up nicely. Probably going to do a pint of 24d on everything this year.

It looks to me like dura core will last 2 years. I doubt the 24d will have any residual effect. I will have to spray the land that had dura core in 23 this year again.

This is pretty well my thoughts on it as well. Im well set up and pretty good at rotational grazing and have a brushcutter that i know how to use and the chicory, ragweed, and thistles still manage to almost take some of my pastures. I have started spraying them in a 3-4 year rotation dependent on how the weeds come back into them. The grass really takes off the year following the sprayer pass. Plus I am allergic to ragweed so i don't mind not being miserable the whole month of august....
