I didn't pencil this all the way out, but bounced back and forth between your analysis and calculator. Your short on the both energy and just a bit short on protein. 3# of the grain mix will get you there for energy demand of lactation. What i don't know is what your cows weigh, I based this on a 1400# cow using OSU's numbers.
