 Southeast Colorado | I see you've only been registered here for a couple of years, so will give you a pass on this for now. I know TONS about this due to my above mentioned wind turbine we installed 15 years ago. At the time it was the largest privately owned turbine in Colorado.
And as I've said now many times, including here, whenever any green energy company actually comes up with affordable backup for themselves......I'm instantly on board with it. They are nowhere near that today. The built in redundancy of low cost fossil fuel generation for backup is not the solution. It just doesn't work like you assume it does. No giant power provider builds a collosal coal plant to idle it back. Especially during brief interruptions. Or in the case of solar, black outs at night. | |
