Subject: RE: pasture spray

Driftless SW Wisconsin

When anyone mentions spraying pastures I'm always reminded of several discussions here in the past where manure from cows that grazed Grazon or similar treated pastures killed gardens even a year or two after spraying.

I don't want to eat meat, nor do I want my customers eating meat from an animal whose manure will kill a garden.

Here, high intensity rotation grazing, occasional timely clipping or haying controls weeds well enough. Same as WCWI.

Is it perfect, no but I don't have traces of herbicide in my product.

2,4-D for example is a systemic herbicide. Along with who knows what other herbicides are added to it these days. It may not kill grasses but it is still there.
