| I'm. guessing that it smells like pigs to you. Maybe unconscious? Some seem to be worse than others. I suspect that some people are much more sensitive to smells like this than others. It is interesting, as I was trucking pigs ever since I was 15 years old. Started running the big cattle trucks in high school. (Illegally, of course.). With cattle, there is a big difference between cattle coming off grass in the Dakotas and cattle going to the packing plants after being fed grain. The one has a smell that is actually a pleasant smell - probably acquired - but not the other.
Also interesting is my son, who has celiac disease, does just fine on beef - but not pork. Tallow is good - lard is not. Many things we don't know much about - probably including how smell affects taste. | |
