OK, I understand your situation now I think.

As I understand your situation, some/all of your boom sections come ON at times when they should be OFF. You obviously would like to fix this situation. There are several possibilities. One might be a problem with the OEM switches and their wiring to the Auxiliary Input Module. This type of problem would present itself if a section or all sections come ON when the OEM switches or Master switch is OFF. Knowing when the problem occurs would be helpful. This is assuming the configuration is appropriate which could enter into this also.

In an effort to determine if this the root of your problem you are considering temporarily unplugging the green plug which comes from your OEM switches and installing an Ag Leader 4000434 switch box.

This may help you decide if the problem is with the OEM switches and wiring or elsewhere. No change would be necessary in the configuration or any other wiring. This is assuming the configuration and other wiring are appropriate.

Then go out and spray. You will now need to use the switches on the 4000434 switch box. The OEM switches will have no effect.

If the problem seems to go away then your suspicions about the OEM switches and wiring were apparently correct. You could continue to spray with the 40000434 or attempt to repair the other approach. If the problem still persists when using the 40000434 then the problem is elsewhere. This might be the case if a trigger wire to a boom section is incorrectly getting power from another source.

One thing I need to keep reminding myself when working on these systems is that the switches etc. do not directly control the boom section valves such as was the case with simple systems. The switches whether they are the original OEM switches with a special wiring harness or the Ag Leader switches in the 4000434 are inputs to the system.

These switches are often the Single Pole Double Throw type. This is a switch with three terminals. The lower terminal is connected to 12V, the upper terminal is connected to a pin in the AIM called Switch Detect. The center terminal leads to the switch input. Switch Detect is ground except for a special situation. Since your OEM switches are likely NOT the SPDT type, a special wiring harness should have been used in your sprayer. This special harness should connect to your OEM switches and plug into the AIM module. It should contain a black cube of epoxy in the adapter harness. Inside the black cube are some diodes that in effect make your OEM switches appear to be SPDT switches. This could be damaged.

Temporarily or permanently using the Ag Leader 4000434 switch box might lead to a solution to your problem since the OEM switches and the diode bridge would no longer be involved.

Many years ago while working as a Tech at the local spray business (L&D Ag), I installed a system such as yours on a sprayer at least somewhat like yours. I had problems using the OEM switches and the special wiring harness. Long story short, it involved fence line tips and how CIH had wired them. I needed to make some type of modification to work around their plan. I forget the details and it might not pertain anyway.

Using the 4000434 should be helpful.
