Let’s say farmer owned drone. Say a $35,000 T60 or something appropriately sized to it in competitor.
Insurance for yourself, trailer setup and appropriate depreciation, depreciation on drone itself, fuel for generator. Repairs before it needs sold/traded off. All that good stuff.
Let’s say I’m running 1500 acres of corn 2X and 1000 acres of beans 1-2X. Might do some work for neighbor? Idk but that’s a different measurement.
So just 4-5000 acres let’s say. I know that’s not a lot but I’ve got some ideas and don’t own a SP sprayer.
What number should I expect it to cost me? Can someone give me their thoughts on this? Or is it just way too liberal of a figure to compute?
Can buy new T 60 for less than $26,000 with 3 batteries and charger.
Used 20 KW diesel generator around $5,000, you don't want a screaming gas one.
$1 million Liability ins can be bought by the month for $62.
Would guess around $50,000 by the time get a Drone Trailer.
Would figure after 2 seasons used T 60 Drone @ $5,000. So if you did around 5000 acres x 2 years - about $2 acre drone cost per acre.
