Exactly, I don't know why it's always presented as a mystery or conspiracy. These companies aren't in the real estate business.
No young startup wants to outlay tens of millions to acquire farmland when a lease can be drawn up that's incredibly attractive to anyone used to farming returns that's still very profitable for them.
