Standahl, I’ve got it worse than dairy, I am a foundation contractor, nobody is lining up to pour concrete, I’ve never had an illegal worker, never will. I’m defiantly in favor of legal immagration. I try my best to follow the law, I firmly believe these dairies need prosecuted for knowingly hiring illegals. I don’t believe in selectively following the law for financial gain.

I'm a dairy farmer, and this is a serious question, not trying to call you out or stir the pot. How do you know they are all legal? Are you just hiring local white guys? You've never had a Hispanic employee at all?
Technically, you might be breaking the law if you refuse to hire a Hispanic person. I have both. All my employees have social security cards and another form of ID. They all get paid ss and Medicaid on that ssn. I've never had an issue, but if one sneaks through, I'm the one in trouble for hiring someone with forged documents. I can also get into trouble for not hiring someone because they "look" illegal. The govt also has a website to check their legal status. It's been proven to be 51% accurate. If I hire someone who passed that test and they're illegal, I'm in trouble even though the govt said it was OK.
I'm not privy to the checkbooks of all the farms out there, but I don't think the big dairies are not paying taxes or are paying the a slave wage.
