I bought a newer PC but Im kinda comfortable with the old unit and can't seem to part ways.
Youtube (and others) have adopted video compression that was less than compatible with my old hardware (midrange AMD CPU from the early 2010s paired w a Nvidia 1050ti) - so I used about:config to disable AV1 and VP9 entirely. Works great now at 1080p.
