Lots look at it as an investment. The rent may not cash flow the payment to the bank along with everything else, but as long as they can cash flow it through other means, it will be paid off someday. Right or wrong. Typical cash on cash returns those in the biz look for are 20% give or take. When you use the bank's money, that usually means a negative cash return until its aid off.
