Even that group that lists the tax data says they collect about half the income taxes owed. So at least half is avoided. If the tax system was working these would all be caught that use a FEIN number for wages paid to an individual, unless of course they are just sending them a 1099 through a pass through entity and claiming that is a legal way to pay taxes. I doubt they are collecting even close to half as claimed. I wonder how much the scammers in Minnesota paid in income taxes?
