SW WI
As said above, anything with molasses or oil products won't keep as long. I ordered a 20 ton bulk bin for my finisher pellets. Main reason in doing that, if I order 18 ton they consider that a full semi load. Local feed mill will knock off $50/ton if I take a full semi load, which equals $900 savings/load. I'm currently going through 36 tons of finisher pellets right now and I plan on feeding more steers which would use more pellets. I take delivery of the bin this summer. It's absolutely crazy what used bins will bring. I found a used 20 ton bin that had been laying sideways on the ground for 10 years with no boot or auger. I priced a new bin for fun and it was something like $1,500 more than the used bin and Schuld will deliver it from the factory and set up where I want it.
