Computers already plant the corn. The regulate the seed and guide the tractor. Computers set the rpm and ground speed for maximum efficiency.
Some operations the driver only gets the tractor to the field. Then just monitors or gets on Agtalk.
I can operate a camera at about any distance in the US as long as there is cell service. Not much of a reach to monitor a tractor.
Efficiency. Not intellect. If you don’t remove the human you don’t remove the job.
And ask climate about AI seed selection. There’s a reason outcome based pricing isn’t a thing. AI can be a tool but it ain’t gunna replace intellect and experience. |
