Let me put it this way. Who do you think builds the robot? A human or another robot?

We already have computers flying planes, driving cars, doing surgery etc. But running a backhoe and connecting pipes is where you cannot see any place in the next 40 years? Am I correct there?

Is it the intelligent part of sensors and cameras that you think cannot handle the job in our lifetime or the physical part of a robot getting into a cab, climbing a ladder, connecting pipe that is the issue?

Who currently fixes a sensor on a new Deere backhoe when it goes down? Certainly not most septic guys.

Everything you just referenced is efficiency. Not a complete removal of human input.

AI is efficiency not intellect.

I have a family member that has had two surgery’s using the da Vinci robot for surgery. Guess what. Still manned and controlled by doc. Same with airplanes. Still human input. O and Boeing found out bad software crashes planes.

And it takes one thing to torpedo AI and robots. Nuke the electrical grid and AI is dead along with robots.

Is AI cool and have a place. Yes. I use it. But it’s efficiency not intellect.
