We have poorly regulated (and lack of enforcement) crony capitalism.
We have plenty of regulations in this country, including lots of unnecessary ones. The ones that should be enforced are not enforced at all.
For an example concerning agriculture, if the Packers and Stockyards Act had actually been enforced for the past 100 years, the entire inquiry into the beef packing industry would be a non issue as the consolidation resulting in 4 companies controlling 85%+ of the market would NOT have happened.
