Have question for you all. I haven’t Recieved gov report for quite some time so things may have changed some. However as a farmer I get a report and it ask how many bushel soybeans I have in the bin example 10,000 bu. Then it ask how many bushel soybeans I have in commercial storage Another 10,000 bu. Now they ask the elevator how many bushel they own. Well here lies the problem. Most beans that go into commercial storage are on differed price (DP). This is so elevators can continue to keep grain moving. I understand that. Well when it’s under DP the beans belong to the elevator and are probably counted as the elevator owns them. However the question to the farmer was how many beans do you have in commercial storage. Now we have just doubled up on the count of those soybeans. Now is there a way USDA takes this into account? I’m just asking.
