cows-n-crops - 2/8/2026 00:05 Early in my farming career I watched a lot of 4 or 500 pound calves bring just about the same total price per head as 6 or 700 pound calves. Total $ difference per head might of only been $20 to 40, or close enough that I couldn't figure out how any one could make that work (paying almost same price for a lighter calf vs a bigger calf).
