I'd need $10 per pound of buger to butcher a fat for just burger, not figuring in extra for the extra work. At $8 I'm about break even on a nice cull cow. We normally do culls to keep price down.
What is the processing cost, that sounds a lot higher than here.
.98 per pound hanging plus $16 for boxes, $20 disposal fee.
You dont get %60 on a full grind.
Last cow we did hung at 706, came home with about 375 lbs. 6.22 looks to be cost per pound of burger with processing and animal cost. No trucking or other cost figured in. Figured 1275 cow at $1.25, wouldn't be surprised if she weighed more or sold better
