Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

I saw a presentation on a firm that used a cat scanner to evaluate stuff we use everyday. They looked at some of the generic tools and the batteries in them,  Of course, they will use the cheapest batteries they can source and most of them are a real fire hazard. There is a world of difference between the cheap batteries and something like Milwaukee and Tesla, that uses Panasonic cells. I'm starting on my fourth year of EV ownership and spend exactly no time worrying about my car that's parked in the garage and usually plugged in. To hear some tell it, I should be on my fourth or fifth house and car by now. Real world experiences say the fire danger from either the car or tools is just not something to worry about. I do have some Porter Cable tool batteries and a couple EGO power lawn tool batteries that are probably a bigger fire danger but I try to keep them off the charger when I'm not monitoring them.
