NEI takes the cake.
Guess we shall see
BTC to a $1M too
Hi KPT,
Certifiably crazy most would say. Don't really care. Physics commands that the sun will come up in the east tomorrow and set in the western sky and that all things known and otherwise will abide by those laws. Like it or not, physics will do its darndest to drag beans and corn to test their failed swings at 7.91 and 3.07 respectively. Take it up with the creator of the laws if you don't like them, I am just the messenger.
Take care
When is this going to happen time wise? Ignore that fat piece of crap Justin aka kpt
Hi Padra,
Ehoff or another timing guy might have a better idea but the formation looks pretty mature to me. I can't absolutely rule out a little more strength there so hopefully that happens as the longer we can hang on, the higher the insurance level gets set. That said the probable path of price to the downside is awfully steep. Eyeballing the lows it looks like it would be sometime this late summer or fall. Obviously late October would be the best from an insurance standpoint, but there are no guarantees on that. Assuming a near 10 dollar spring bean price, an 85% policy doesn't kick in til near 8.50 assuming APH yields and then you still need to get price to average below that for 30 days and also not over produce so to me, it's just about as good as nothing from a price protection standpoint. A person has to kinda keep APH yields or higher in the back of their minds as low prices should mean an abundant supply whether it be acres, yield or lack of demand or a combination . And then there is the USDA programs that will likely be rolled out during that time frame and that is anybody's guess what that will be.
I need to ask more questions as I am generally not opposed to taking HPE and take it more times than not. But I don't know whether the additional policies can be bought in conjunction with HPE. This year it may not be worth the risk but that is something I will need to find out.
Anyway, good luck.
Take care
