I won’t even try to plant a hayfield or grass after corn anymore. And I’m pretty careful about what I spray the beans with prior. Between chemical carryover, and the C/N ratio of the corn stubble, I’m guessing some N and S would help the grass establish.

We really like sorghum Sudan, but it’s kinda a pig on nitrogen. We’ve had good luck no tilling it in 15” rows with a kinze planter, it’s aggressive enough you can’t tell it’s in rows 2 weeks after it’s up.
