| My daughter was in your same spot. The week of thanksgiving she turned her ankle while playing football with her 3 young sons. She is in great shape and runs half marathons and 5- 10k' s. She thought her ankle was sprained, but it was fractured. Had to wait six days for swelling to subside, then had surgery to install plate and screws.
No weight bearing until last week with the start of PT. Now she is putting 25 percent of her weight on it and will work up to 100 percent by February 20. It is a major inconvenience for her but she has a good attitude, and doing great.
Do as you doctor says and you will be fine. | |
