i may not be using the right terminology on the transmissions, what dad wants is a semi that you can shift like a pickup if its a manual transmission, no double clutching or floating gears, etc.

Synchronized=Shifts like a pickup. Push clutch pedal in, move stick to next position, release pedal.
Non-Synchronized=Shifts like a real truck (semi, dump truck, etc.)
single axle semi with automatic or 6 speed
